Description
This jar was found while excavating a 1900s tip on our property in NH. I have cleaned this to the best of my ability, and any imperfections noticed have been photographed for your viewing. Additional photos and videos always available upon request – communication encouraged for any concerns.
Description: A clear jar that has no cracks or leaks, slightly dirty inside. The glass has a ribbed pattern and no defining markings that would distinguish it that I noticed. Assuming it was for jelly, honey, coffee, or some sort of condiment.
Markings on bottom: (Embossed) There is what appears to be an “S” on the bottom.
From what I found online, that could match any of the below:
S Southern Glass Co. ca. 1923-1926 S:Southern Glass Co.
S Hero Fruit Jar Co. 1884-1890s S:Other S
S Salem Glass Works 1934-1939 S:Salem Glass Works – Due to us living in NH, this would be the most likely.
